Skin Boosters are injectable treatments made from hyaluronic acid, a naturally occuring substance in the skin that attracts and locks in moisture.

Unlike fillers, they do not add volume instead they nourish and hydrate the skin, improving texture, tone and elasticity.

1: What are Skin Boosters?
Skin boosters are injectable hyaluronic acid that gives your skin a deep drink of hydration and nutrients.

Unlike filler, it does not change your face shape, it simple makes your skin look fresh, radiant and healthy. Think smoother texture, fewer lines and that "you look well" glow. 

2: How are Skin Boosters used?
Most skin boosters involve 5 injections each side of the face. 

3: What are the benefits?
The benefits vary from skin booster to skin booster. You can find more indepth benefits above. However, the general benefits of skin boosters include:

4: How long do results last?
As for the results, you may start noticing improvements as early as 1-2 weeks post-treatment, full treatment results can be seen after around 4 weeks. You will be able to enjoy the benefits of skin boosters for up to 9 months. For optimal and long-lasting results, three treatments spread 4 weeks apart is recommended with one maintenance treatment per year is recommended.

5: Are there any risks to treatment?
Skin boosters are generally considered a safe and well-tolerated treatment, with a low risk of adverse reactions. However, as with any injectable procedure, it’s essential to choose a qualified and experienced healthcare provider to administer the treatment.

During the consultation process, we will review your medical history and discuss any potential contraindications or risks associated with the treatment. Individuals with certain conditions, such as allergies to hyaluronic acid, active skin infections, or bleeding disorders, may not be suitable candidates for skin boosters.

It’s also important to follow the recommended pre- and post-treatment care instructions provided to ensure optimal results and minimize the risk of any complications.

6: What are the side effects?
As with all injectable treatments, there is a risk of redness at injection site, tenderness, swelling and bruising.  

With skin boosters, you will feel lumps at injection sites which will disappear over a few days. However, these can take longer in some people. 

7: Is there any downtime?
Skin boosters generally have minimal to no down time, which is why they're such a popular treatment.  Apart from the side effects mentioned above.  You can go back to your normal activities immediately, however, we do advise the following aftercare:
- Avoid make up for 24 hours 
- No intense exercise for 24 hours
- No excessive heat or steam for 48 hours

8: Does it hurt?
Skin boosters are generally mild to no pain and is tolerable for most clients. We do apply numbing cream before hand to make this more comfortable.
